Late night, grappling with computer

It's hot in my study, at the end of a long day at the screen. I'm beginning to feel unhinged, after writing and writing and writing and...
So, here in the spirit of openness, is me deranged as midnight comes nearer. (Incidentally, the clock on my blog is wrong, but I don't know how to change it. One of these days, it might strike 13). Now I'm going to drink a strong cup of camomile tea. Never let it be said that I don't know what's good for me...

Without adding to your feelings of being deranged,Justine, have you noticed the orbs of light in you photo?....

Yes, I did notice them, and first thought it was the moon, but the less romantic explanation is that it's the reflection of my light in the window, and there's also the reflection of the computer screen which has taken the picture of me... I'm sure there's a metaphor in that, but it eludes me

"Unhinged...deranged..."

Blimey, Justine, I just hope your "writing and writing and writing" has been more productive than that scarey scene in The Shining where we discover that Jack Nicholson has been writing the same line over over and over and over.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
The most terrifying scene in a film too scary for me to watch again...
Now I'll go and check on what I wrote last night, and report back if it shows signs of repetitiveness.

Blimey, I have always admired how authors can spend so much time typing away until the small hours... its nice to know that some authors can go a little mad in the process hahaha.

Wouldnt it be spooky if the clocks suddenly all struck 13! You can imagine Daphne Du Maurier writing a dark short tale about that.

There we go Justine - savidgereads has found you a new genre to turn your pen to. Although I think there are a few spooky parts in 'Daphne' already!
Midnight is that time of night that does things to the mind. I've been up writing essays or blog posts or letters at that time, and I always get a little stranger ... don't do it too often though!

I was away for the weekend (magical quick trip to San Francisco, returning well-rested, well-fed, full of art and with a new pair of fantastic Ferragamo wedge heels in black patent leather) and so only just finally caught up! Derangement aside, I love your striped top, Justine! Very chic, very appropriate for writing about Chanel.
