Dove Grey Reader at Port Eliot

Lynne's tent was just as you would imagine it: cups of tea and good conversation about books; knitting needles, embroidery, and the most beautiful quilts. Long may she reign...
Oh, and Daisy Goodwin's talk was excellent -- and so is her book, My Last Duchess.

Quilts, sunshine and Chanel. What a marvellous combination! Very uplifting.

Ooh! Whilst looking closer at the quilts, I've just spotted your green wellies. They look perfect with your vintage Chanel jacket.

Green Hunter wellies; essential, in the muddy bits of the grounds...

Sounds as if you had a wonderful time...lucky you!
Thanks for the link to My Last Duchess. I have seen it in the bookshops and wasn't sure I wanted to read it but having read the notes on the site, I definitely do.

We are still in upper crust Cheltenham...home to Zara Phillips apparently...and having a couple of rest days doing little but read and sleep. I had "Room" on my ereader and had only half wanted to read it but having nothing else left, i started it and found I couldn't put it down. I thought it would be grim and horrifying but it wasn't at all...quite uplifting in fact.

I just can't face 'Room', but good to hear that you enjoyed it. And 'My Last Duchess' a rather good read, I think, amidst the Regency splendour of Cheltenham!

I was lucky enough to hear your talk in dovegreyreader's tent and it was fascinating - particularly the relevations around Coco's inspirations for the Chanel iconography. I sent a copy along with one of the beautiul camellias to a friend for her birthday and she was thrilled - thank you for bringing along such a nice touch!

You're very welcome. Glad to hear that the white camellias are finding a good home.
